Joining Shin Splints

Shin Splints is a FREE and friendly running group. Whether you want a gentle introduction to running or you are an experienced runner who wants to join a friendly group of like-minded enthusiasts - just turn up. We meet at Broome Manor Golf Complex on Pipers Way, where you will also have the opportunity to socialise and make new friends over a cup of tea, or even a full meal, after the run.

Just complete the Fit to Begin form below and bring it to your first session.

Saturday mornings 08.45 for 9.00 start

 

On Saturday mornings, Shin Splints offer Groups 1 - 3 (offering various distances) to help runners improve and progress. As runners increase their mileage they can move up to the next group or if they want to continue in the same group they can. The format also allows runners to move from group to group if they want to vary the distance they run each week.

Please note: Participants must be aged 15 years and over to participate on Saturdays.

Wednesday evenings 18.15 for 18.30 start

​

Please note: we don’t offer any mentoring on Wednesday evenings as this is a training run and not a supervised session. To join the Wednesday run you should be able to run at least 3 miles.

Please note: minors aged 15 - 18 years of age who want to run any of the advertised Shin Splints Wednesday routes must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
